ENVISION: Career Exploration
Our girls dive deeper into their professional & academic goals while developing their critical consciousness to be social justice advocates.
Workshops
Workshops focus on topics such as interviewing, networking, code switching, resumes, cover letters, time management, mental health, workplace discrimination, wage exploitation, post-secondary options including college, financial literacy, and transition plans.
Internships
Oasis partners with the UCSF Department of Neurosurgery to provide a medical internship experience. Girls are mentored by UCSF staff and Oasis’ Envision Coordinator, the latter of which continues on a one-on-one basis post-program to help girls meet their professional and academic goals.
Job Sites and Networking Events
Participants will explore the experiences of women in the workplace and expand their career awareness and job readiness skills while developing an achievable next steps plan to support successful transitions from high school to college to career.
