How to Apply to
Oasis for Girls

We're so happy you're interested in participating in Oasis for Girls! Our programs provide a supportive and inclusive space where you can explore your interests, express yourself authentically and be part of a sisterhood. At Oasis, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about college and career options, engage in social justice issues, and develop life skills that will prepare you to succeed in high school and beyond.

Program Cycles: We have three program cycles each year: Fall (10 weeks), Spring (10 weeks), and Summer (6 weeks). All programs (Create, Rise and Envision) are available during each cycle. Students will be asked to rank programs in order of preference on application.

Location: Our office is in San Francisco, one block from the Civic Center Bart/Muni station (8th St/Market St.)

Eligibility: Girls and girl-identified youth residing and/or attending high school in San Francisco, California. Low-income, first generation, and foster youth are strongly encouraged to apply. Participants in the ENVISION program will need proof of COVID vaccination due to the partnership with UCSF.

Stipends: Program participants will receive a stipend up to $400, $500, or $600 after successful completion of their first, second and third program.

Application Process
1. Please read the program descriptions and decide which programs you’d like to apply to, in order of preference.
2. Fill out the application form. At the end of the form, you'll be asked schedule an in-person interview.
3. Applicants will be notified of their status via email. Although we want to have all of you participate, due to limited space each program has a capacity of 16 students.

Summer 2026

Applications are due on May 20th, 2026. In-person interviews will take place between May 11th-May 2nd. Applicants will be notified by May 27th. Programs will run from June 22nd-July 31st on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (and most Mondays) between 2:00-6:00pm.

Program Schedule:
  Start Date: Monday, June 22nd from 2:00-6:00pm (𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏)
  Weekly Program: June 23rd-July 30th; Tues/Wed/Thurs from 2:00-6:00pm
  Monday Events: June 29th, July 13th, and July 20th (Open House, Career Day & Wellness Day)
 End Date: Friday, July 31st from 2:00-6:00pm (𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏)

Fall 2026

Fall 2026 applications will be available in August and due in early September. Programs will run for 6 weeks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 4:30-6:30pm starting in mid-September. Follow us at @oasisforgirls for updates.
